A Manhattan jury convicted former President Donald J. Trump on all 34 counts in his criminal hush money trial.
The guilty verdict was returned after about two days of deliberations, which began late Wednesday morning. By Thursday afternoon, the jury alerted the judge that a decision was reached.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg accused Trump last April of falsifying business records related to payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels, who contends she had an affair with Trump. The payments were to hide damaging information before the 2016 election, Bragg contended.
Trump is also not only the first former president to stand trial in a criminal case, but also the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party in November's election.
This is a developing story.
