School, Diabetes & the Vaccine: A Virtual Town Hall on August 19, 2021

The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) is hosting a FREE virtual town hall titled School, Diabetes & the Vaccine to answer all questions and concerns from parents on the return to school, especially during the rise of the COVID-19 Delta variant.
A panel of pediatric experts can answer live questions and provide parents, students, and teachers with tips to develop an action plan for children returning to the classroom, including:
- COVID-19 related 504 plan considerations
- Safety during sports activities
- Impact of limited access to school nurses
- Fears and emotional issues, and so much more
Discussion and live Q&A will be moderated by Jay Skyler, MD, Deputy Director of Clinical Research and Academic Programs at the Diabetes Research Institute, with a national panel of experts:
