June is Pride Month, that wonderful, vibrant time of the year when the LGBTQ community takes center stage. The Greater Miami and Miami Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau has designated this period Rainbow Spring and, in addition to special events, restaurants and bars are celebrating with food and drink specials. They’re here, they’re queer, and they’re fabulous!

Get ready to show up and show out the Arsht Center’s annual ComuniTEA Dance. This year’s theme is Don’t Be a Drag, Just Be a Queen, and attendees can expect a high-energy event featuring some of the top drag performers around, including headliner Alyssa Edwards. Happy hour bites and cocktails, including the event’s signature drink, the Tongue Pop Tonic, will be available. The event is free but tickets must be reserved through the Arsht website.

Proceeds from the refreshing Love is Love cocktail benefit the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

Drag and Dine at R House in Wynwood on Friday and Saturday nights, part of the Rainbow Spring celebration. Book in advance to redeem a complimentary welcome cocktail and dessert. Enjoy a Pride Happy Hour Wednesday through Sunday, 4-7 p.m. through June 30 with craft cocktails and light bites. And of course, there’s the fabulous drag brunch, the event that made R House famous. Offered on Saturday and Sunday, the drag brunch is $60 per person and features a tasty main menu and a vegetarian/vegan menu. A bottomless drinks package is available as an add-on.
